In many respects, Rock Solid is a lot like a puzzle. When all the pieces are in place, it’s a beautiful thing. The youth are registered and signed in, there are organized games, sports and activities. Good food is served. There is a speaker or group program. Tutoring is taking place. Although there is time to hang out, there are also scheduled structured activities throughout the afternoon. Sadly, when most or some of the pieces are missing, it doesn’t look at all like a youth center, and can become nothing more than a babysitting service. In other words, Rock Solid requires a team.
